Artificial Go craft wiry, Dadaist-fueled post-punk with bright tuneful art-pop across their new album Musical Chairs (Feel It Records). Maximum RockNRoll calls it an “incessant wiggle of sparse and trebly guitar, solidly skeletal drumming, and mannered, alternately animated/nonplussed faux-Brit-accented vocals, reminiscent of Suburban Lawns, Delta 5, and the Slits.
Wombo first connected in 2016 and have crafted a unique lane over the near-decade since forming, contorting post-punk structures into uncanny shapes. On their newest release, Danger in Fives, they twist another knot into their belt, and come out creatively renewed. This pursuit of strengthening their craft has earned Wombo a beloved reputation among their community of independent musicians. Ask any adjacent musician operating today who they’re listening to, and more often than not you’ll hear Wombo toward the top of the list.

About Studio-A-Rama: Since 1982, WRUW has staged this free annual concert designed to thank listeners for their ongoing support throughout the year, and especially during WRUW’s annual telethon. An enthusiastic audience response during the annual on-air fundraiser enables WRUW to continue hosting Studio-A-Rama as well as support local music and live music. Studio-A-Rama is one part of WRUW-FM’s commitment to giving local bands a platform by broadcasting them live.
About WRUW-FM 91.1 Cleveland: In 1946, WFSM was founded by the Flora Stone Mather Radio Club, “broadcasting” via a public address system. Since that time, it evolved into an AM carrier-current station in 1955 and then on February 26, 1967 to the FM-broadcast station it is now. WRUW 91.1 FM began as a ten watt mono station serving the University Circle neighborhood of Cleveland. In 1980, WRUW raised its power to 1,000 watts. The evolution of WRUW was completed when, on March 5 2002, WRUW increased its power to 15,000 watts. WRUW now serves a large portion of the Northeast/Northern Ohio region.
