Show #110: Seafair’s The Querencia

Posted on in The 59 Sound

Premiering on The ’59 Sound almost a week before its public release, The Querencia is Seafair’s self-released, debut record; a glorious melding of elements of classical, rock and indie pop that has to be heard to be believed. After the album, Andrea, Josh, Mike and Tara joined me in studio for an interview about their new album and upcoming record release show at The Grog Shop on May 23, as well as contributing tracks to the second hour’s playlist.

This is also one of Mike’s picks.

This song was chosen by Josh, Seafair’s bassist, as a song that influenced his songwriting and reminds him of how the song “Inferno” was written.

Midnight Passenger will be opening for Seafair at their record release show on Saturday May 23.

“The Runaway” – Regret the Hour – Another Lonely Year

New York City’s Regret The Hour will also be opening for Seafair’s Grog Shop record release show.

This is one of Tara’s picks. She is Seafair’s cellist.

“Ghost Under Rocks” – Ra Ra Riot – Ra Ra Riot – EP
