Gnome \nThe Laughing Chimes is a musical project formed by brothers Evan (vocals\, guitar) and Quinn Seurkamp (drums) based out of southeast Ohio. The band draws inspiration from American and British jangle pop from the 80s and 90s; establishing songs that blend enduring sounds with new melodies. Their 2021 album “In This Town” drew attention worldwide for its brilliantly timeless songs that could have just as easily originated in Athens\, GA\, or Dunedin\, NZ as in eastern Ohio. Behind Your Blue Fields\, released in May 2026\, is the follow-up to last year’s Slumberland-released Whispers In The Speech Machine. The self-released collection presents songs the Chimes created for a sophomore album that never came to pass\, before the decision to “go goth” and incorporate post-punk elements into their sound. \n\n\n\n\n\nHeadliners\, the Cleveland duo\, mr. Gnome\, have been crafting a vision of expansive\, technicolor art-rock\, pushing the limits of sonic exploration\, through their living-breathing\, shapeshifting realm of psychedelic orchestration since 2005. Mr. Gnome has long held a strong cult following across North America for their cathartic\, raucous\, live performances\, and album releases have received critical acclaim from the likes of Rolling Stone (named “Band To Watch” in a spotlight review)\, Pitchfork\, NPR\, Paste\, Esquire\, Spin\, Magnet\, MTV\, KEXP\, and American Songwriter\, among others.   \n\n\n\n\n\nDriving to Studio-A? There are surface lots surrounding the area off of Ford Dr. and Bellflower Rd. where you may park for a fee\, most by the hour. Street parking is available just a short walk away on Bellflower Drive and East Blvd. Be sure to carpool and if you’ll be drinking\, bring a designated driver. Taking public transit? Use the RTA Rapid Red Line and take it to the Little Italy – University Circle stop. Take the CircleLink right to Mather Memorial! Or take the Healthline to Euclid Ave & Cornell Rd station\, we are just a 5 minute walk away. \nLearn more at our website or RSVP on Facebook. We can’t wait to see you there\, at the triumphant return of Studio-A\, now in its 39th non-consecutive year! \n### \nAbout Studio-A-Rama: Since 1982\, WRUW has staged this free annual concert designed to thank listeners for their ongoing support throughout the year\, and especially during WRUW’s annual telethon. An enthusiastic audience response during the annual on-air fundraiser enables WRUW to continue hosting Studio-A-Rama as well as support local music and live music. Studio-A-Rama is one part of WRUW-FM’s commitment to giving local bands a platform by broadcasting them live. \nAbout WRUW-FM 91.1 Cleveland: In 1946\, WFSM was founded by the Flora Stone Mather Radio Club\, “broadcasting” via a public address system. Since that time\, it evolved into an AM carrier-current station in 1955 and then on February 26\, 1967 to the FM-broadcast station it is now. WRUW 91.1 FM began as a ten watt mono station serving the University Circle neighborhood of Cleveland. In 1980\, WRUW raised its power to 1\,000 watts. The evolution of WRUW was completed when\, on March 5 2002\, WRUW increased its power to 15\,000 watts. WRUW now serves a large portion of the Northeast/Northern Ohio region.

SUMMARY:Modest Mouse w/ Caroline Rose
DESCRIPTION:Doors \nALL AGES \nCapable of punkish rawness\, simmering atmosphere\, and light-hearted pop\, Modest Mouse helped shape the sound of late-’90s indie rock and proved there’s more to the Pacific Northwest underground than grunge. Coupled with frontman Isaac Brock’s sketches of small-town life\, their mix of emo\, folk\, post-rock\, and prog have earned them multi-platinum status and a GRAMMY nomination. The band’s major-label debut\, 2000’s sprawling The Moon and Antarctica\, showed just how grandly ambitious their music could be\, while 2005’s Good News for People Who Love Bad News and its smash hit “Float On” revealed their flair for anthemic pop singles. Having earned their reputation as one of the most consistent live acts touring today\, Modest Mouse continues to experiment\, infusing arena-sized proportions into their music without sacrificing their signature idiosyncratic outlook.
