“Down by the Cuyahoga” now longest-running jazz show – two ways!

Our Friday night jazz show, “Down by the Cuyahoga”, has been hosted by Jim Szabo since 1974 – that’s 45 years! That makes it Cleveland’s (and maybe the world’s) longest continuously-running jazz show.

With WRUW’s summer 2019 schedule now in effect, “Down by the Cuyahoga” has become Cleveland’s longest-running jazz show a second way – by being six hours long, from 11pm Friday to 5am Saturday.

Jim promises special “after hours” programming from 2 am – 5am: special features/themes and a deep dive into WRUW’s impressive jazz music library.
